Do I need to buy WE DLC?
For the new update and DLC that is hitting, do I need to buy the old Wood Elves DLC to get use out of it? To play as the new Sister Lords and the free Drycha lord?

You only need the original DLC for Drycha.

The new DLC gets you the sisters.

If you own neither the original Wood Elves, or the new DLC then you won't be able to play as wood elves, but you'll still get the update, which should change up the game regardless.

So if I buy this DLC I won't get the Drycha? I would need to buy the old DLC?

If you just want to play as Drycha, you will need to buy the old dlc.

Pretty sure you need both from what I understood.

You don't. If you own the Realm of the Wood Elves but not the Twisted and the Twilight you will get access to Drycha on ME.

You do not. It's a bonus for people owning the original.

The ancient and malevolent tree spirit, Drycha, has a deep-rooted hatred of Elves, resentful of their mere presence…

For owners of Realm of the Wood Elves, Drycha is the new Free Legendary Lord playable within the Mortal Empires Campaign!

They're exclusively a Mortal Empires faction.
don't know why CA thinks its ok to charge £15 for realm of the wood elves when the new dlc lets you play as the wood elves and also adds new skaven units.

Other than the faction being part of what was originally a Warhammer 1 dlc faction, the cross game lord pack model for this still follows the same design philosophy of the previous two. If you just own the DLC but not the game 1 dlc you'll get the new lord and units to play on the Vortex map and that's that. So the better question is why did you expect this to somehow be different.

The same reason it's always cost that amount. Because it gives you two LLs and a mini campaign.

You personally may not feel that justifies the price, but it's not like TatT has the exact same content as RotWE plus the Skaven side.

Well the old wood elf dlc did come with a special wood elf mini-campaign and drycha being a flc lord for those who own the original wood elf dlc is what is supposed to make up for that cost.

That's £5 per lord after the update. Similar to the cost of current DLC lords. They don't have to lower the price just bc it's old especially now that it has become more valuable.

You don't need to pay 15 nowadays for the WE DLC since it goes on sale regularly anyway.

Also it's the dlc providing you the ability to play a race + new units and LL for a race you already have for 10€ that is cheaper than usual, rather than the contrary.

Realm of the wood elves also provides a unique mini campaign if you run wh1.

Just wait for a sale. I bought the Wood Elves DLC recently for € 9,49. So in fact I will get a new race with three lords + 2 new lords for less than 20 € (8.99 for the new DLC + 9,49 for the race pack). Sounds fine for me.

Mmm, the original wording was confusing and I was under the impression that Drycha was a bonus for having both the DLCs.
I aready own both DLCs.

Not sure why people are fine with paying more for a lower quality dlc. There should really be a sale now.

Drycha isn't part of either DLC, you need to own both to get her so judge that seperately. Realm of the WE only provides two lords, thats actually £7.50 per lord together with all of the associated content.
