Stormfiends
Can we expect them realistically in the new dlc? Skaven are my favorite race but units like wolf-rats or giant rats don't seem interesting at all tbh. Maybe some Moulder mechanic to create stormfiends would be dope.

they all sound pretty garbage apart from the stormfiend.

SKavens don't need a giant rat in a w40k armour ffs. The upgraded rat ogres (don't remember the exact name) okay why not, but not the w40k ish end time rat ogre, hell no.

I think it would be a bit of a waste not to cash in on Thanquol's popularity by having him be one part of a DLC. Of course if they were feeling generous, they could add him, Verminlords, and Stormfiends as an FLC update in Game Three. We'll just have to wait and see.

They could simply redo the visuals for Stormfiends like they did in Vermintide.

Regardless of how they named them in the game, that is closer of augmented rat ogres than stormfiends lore wise with this much change.
Rat ogres could get an augmented version in this DLC, just like kroxs got their better version as well in another DLC.
I really don't see stormfiend showing up.

We'll see. I'm not expecting them this DLC, but I wouldn't rule them out of Game Three.

I'm curious how they would balance ranged stormfiends.

They would likely have way less models in a unit, so they would perhaps make them do less ranged damage then the weapon team units but they could have them be more beefy/mobile (decent in melee for a ranged unit)?

Melee stormfiends would likely just be better ogres (comparable to sacred kroxigors versus kroxigors).

Obviously that is just theory crafting.

they are the same thing. i think they will be in this dlc as i dont see them doing another scaven dlc. if we did it would probably be mostly reskined units so i see the vermin lord being one of the flc units if not this game the next with thanqale being an flc

i would say they would keep the same model count as the normal rat ogars but they will take a hit to defence and attack as well as a hit point drop. they should also have less damage output because the ratling cannon units have a lot of guys. another thing they could do is make them a mid damage anti large so they might have less push back against infantry but they will do more damage per a hit. they could also make them slower but give them a 360 degree firing arch and probably better charge defence.
