They really need to take another look at the Dread Saurian
He is just too weak to missile fire he needs some passive resistance put on him and they really need to work on his pathing on getting his fat ♥♥♥ through siege gates. There is zero reason to limit them per army with how under performing and overpriced they are. Hell you can get Blessed Carnosaurs easy with Nakai by buying them with old one's favour, those things are like super carnosaurs on speed with better stats compared to normal carnosaurs and a massive 108 speed and have a much lower upkeep.

His movement feels quite wonky at times yes. Often gets stuck on enemy or friendy troops.

108 Speed, 8K in hitpoints, AP damage, and a huge charge bonus, so glorious! :cleandino:

It used to be so hard to get them with other lords because you had to hope and pray you got the blessed spawning you wanted but Nakai you can get any blessed spawning you want and as many if you have unlocked them and have the favour to buy them.

Come to think of, Dread Saurian shouldn't used frontline, just waiting move to your normal units with shield fighting melee, then use Dread Saurian to route back and flanking or go right throught if they don't had spear units, use carnasaour to hunt archer units down, while Dread Saurian hunt melee but no spear units, it's work petty well.

When i unlocked Dread Saurian and Feral Saurian i gave them a shot. Also had a pair of Carnosaurs int he army, few skink javs to absorb initial enemy fire, some Saurus, then a mix of 6 Krox and Blessed Krox. Enemy was a dark elf fleet, they had one Kharbydiss i think it's called, two of the flying monsters, then a mix of infantry. As both Saurian are meant to be anti large i told them to charge the Kharb thing, and the feral did much better, mainly because it was blocking the Dread Saurians pathing. Dread Saurian took a real poudning, dark elves focused it hard, almost killed it before they broke. Both Carnos did great vs the flying beasts, and most of my army was untouched.

In the end, with proper use i feel the two Saurian are in a great place, very powerful beasts that should be limited. From what i recall though the cap is more like Tomb Kings unit caps on these, your secondary hordes can increase the cap and let you recruit more to an army. Not that my second horde was able to unlock that yet, was still too new to build the saurian building. But 4 of those in an army spread across the line? That'd be very hard to counter, they are absurdly powerful beasts.
