Forts don't count as having walls?
I started a new Franz campaign and I can't even build siege equipment to attack the fort since the game counts it as not having walls. Also any hero with the damage walls option can't do anything for the same reason. Is this an intended feature or just an overlook?

That's for the major settlements, from the patch notes:



Faction capitals that cannot build wall buildings now receive improved tower projectiles from their main settlement chain.

How do people still don't know after all this time how the Ulthuan gates work?

Same mechanic as phoneix gates. It's to ensure the defenders maintain their advantage since it's suppose to be a hard fort to take. It is a bit silly, but that's just the way they decided to do it.

yep and they all look the same too. Guess it is to hard to make a few different settlements on the money they earn from the game... Seems all a little lacking to me and showing i want too improve the game but i can´t:steamsad:

Oh I see, it's custom map, with multi-level low walls. It'd need towers changing to be able to use them.

So this is really strange. I just played a custom battle at fort Helmgart just to see what it was like. The enemy in that game were able to build siege tower and brought 4 of them. Whats with that??

probably a bug but since CA doesn´t test anything i expect a lot more to be discovered. They can always say it is intended like that since nobody knows, not even the developers

It might also be that in the campaign you (or the AI) are unable to build siege equipment; but in a custom/online battle you may be able to build siege equipment so you and the opponent can have a true battle on the Fort maps.

I would wonder if during a custom battle for the Phoenix Gates of the High Elves in Ulthuan function the same way: No siege equipment inside a campaign, but allowable during custom/online battles.

That sounds about right. Having the freedom to do anything is the point of custom battle after all. Campaigns however, should have mechanics and limitations. It dosent bother me.
