Old World Campaign Obsolete?

With the Empire Undivided update for the Mortal Empires campaign, is there any reason to play the Old World campaign other than for the smaller map?

You mean NEW World (Vortex campaign). Same reason as there always has been. Why would this update be the tipping point.

I played Nakai to turn 150 before I gave up. Took me almost 11 hours. If it was ME, I wouldn't even get to 50 turns. (I don't use turn time destroyer mod, when a new dlc comes up, using mods this early on is asking for crashes.)

There is no vampire counts in Vortex campaign, do you talk about warhammer 1, not 2? I always want warhammer 1 old world campaign into warhammer 2 upgrade, because of smaller map and faster turn while playing my fav one.

There are now a number of Vortex factions that don't revolve around the fight for the Vortex. Add the significantly faster turn times and it means it's definitely a good idea to keep it (and play it). My main game right now is Wulfhart and it's a lot of fun. :D

He's referring to the Grand Campaign of Warhammer 1. And I was hoping the Empire rework would be applied to that game too. Hopefully CA doesn't just leave it in the dust.

He should have said WH1 instead of old world then and that question would apply to all reworks - dwarfs, vampires, Brettonia.

They left it in the dust ages ago. Warhammer 1 hasn't gotten any updates.

Honestly thought it was outdated already. It would've been nice if they added the smaller campaign, but I guess 2 maps was enough on their plate.

If there was a reason to play Old World before this update, that reason should still be valid even now. Half of the factions were already updated in ME before this update so Empire Undivided barely changes anything.
