So. this is why waagh armies are completely useless
This is the reason, why i in 95% of cases remove waagh armies on turn 1 of waagh. I know, that in certain parts of the map a movement is reduced to make a map feel a bit bigger, but this is ridiculous. I just can't attack that damn city with almost fresh movement due to waagh. Momentum given to me by my brave goblin bosses via slowing elves down is absolutely useless.

I really tried to use it and like it, but no. I surrounded Athel loren with 2 armies + Skryre lurking arround too with a stack, but with this crapp mechanic it is to no avail for orc player.

That area is extremely slow, even for wood elves. Which is why you move with underground/worldroots there.

Yeah, and reason is the river just underneath the settlement.

Unlike other river locations, you cannot move incrementally because the settlement control zone permits it.
One can also just take the upper path, which is slower but works, just the pathfinding will not actually consider it when just clicking the settlement.

Upper path would be better, but i wanted to block possible incoming reinforcements from south and kill them w/o garrison reinforcements. theres a river? need to look better

Side question. Do i really need to recruit a basic trolls for skarsnik to unlock last part of his weapon quest? They have oversights in a new stuff pretty often from what i can see. In quest particularly.

River, or swamp or sth, it does behave like a river though since even when you own it you can see that between the settlement and the space to the south you consume a ton of movement points just from one "tick". Kinda like when going west from Schwarzhafen. Just that there you can actually move in between turns but not on Waterfall palace =/

I never really paid so much atention to Athel Loren since i don't like that faction aside of AI usually go absolutely mad and attack all order factions arround, so i never really paid attention to that terain, even that river is somewhat bad to spot. Or more specificaly, it is there, but hard to tell it should restrict me. Worst settlement to attack from this side then.

Another note. For those, who says never had a problem in their games regarding of bugs.

This is perhaps anothe, maybe 5th oversight, bug, bad design whatever this campaign only.
I swear i will create separate thread, and willpost there all the flaws i will meet then send it on TW forum. If only i wouldnd't be lazy :D :D Btw that army is stuck and can't move perhaps for 3 turns. I guess it will be unlocked after waagh or until anihilated.

You daft git. You litteraly took THE MOST DIFFICULT MOVING LOCATION IN THE WORLD as a mean to prove your point ? Everyone - litteraly EVERYONE - has a hard time moving in Athel Loren ; no roads, no bridge, no set direction. The whole damn place is designed to be as unhospitable for trespassers to both get into and navigate, on top of taking their unique form attrition. That's arguably the strongest protection of the whole Wood Elves faction.

And you thought you could just WAAAGH!!! your way through without issue ? You're even greeniers than a git, you git !

Ohh you tree lover, who probably knows athel loren better than yourown mother, i am sorry that i couldn't recognize that " probably worst accesible" place in WH map, due to dubious placement of a river. But yeaah, ok my 2K hours in and not a best knowledge of this part of a map makes me green :D

^

athel loren is made to be the most difficult thing to dig your way through, the higher the tree gets the worse it becomes too. its literally the point of the forest.

LuL first time in the woods ?

You wouldn't be able to attack that without your waaagh! army, why are you trying to use this as an argument that a waaagh! is detrimental?

well of course its slow there athel loren is one of the most dangerous places to travel. I dont understand how this is an issue as it makes sense since its literally in the lore. I see no problem with the waaaghh mechanic, actually quite enjoy it more than before.

Also why in heavens sake are you using normal movement as greenskins instead of the underway? That makes no sense at all bro.

really? i dissmised a waagh and i was able to attack it on a same turn? what now?
matlajs Sep 6, 2020 @ 5:48pm
The rest of you, you tragedy- comical ruins i ignore :D :D

Sometimes i weawer, if we are here to disscuss some dubious and obviously exagerated, badly implemented things( anyone can dissagree with that ofcourse). but here is a borderless love to CA and whatever they implement. YOU are sheeps, i wasn't wrong. :D

Because what i say here, and in another threads aren't things which should do a game more easy for me, just work. Like a dissmising a waagh and get stucked. Like other things :D

Thralls :D
