I had a lot of fun with them, you will be able to make them work but afterwards when you play a faction that does indeed army payment and upkeep make sure not to carry over Tomb King habits.
While Tomb Kings are super easy once you get a good grip on their quirks, I'd say High Elves are probably the best for getting the full "Total War" experience for a newbie.

I haven't gotten around to the other ones though. I was gonna try snake lady next for more of a challenge. I don't really have a lot of interest in Nagash's flunky. :/
However if you know the Basics and are more of the "advanced" "Newbie" i expect they are pretty playable...

Oh well, still gonna have to give her a try soon. I read her lore and stuff already...I mean she's no Settra but who is? Other than Settra of course...
