RoR Are greyed out for me as Orcs

Trying Azhag, and RoR are greyed out. I've done a few waag's and been told they are unlocked, but nada. Do I need a DLC?

RoR needs DLC, Waaagh special units don't. Either the game 2 DLC or the game 1 DLC.

Ror and waaagh are different.
Rors require DLCs.

Just saying that after a waaag the message comes up "new regiment of renown unlocked" then it's still greyed.

Do I need to buy the 2 DLC's just to get them?

That's Waaagh units, you might need to scroll through the RoR list.

That's Waaagh units, you might need to scroll through the RoR list.

The button is greyed out. Azhag is level 37 and I've been told that several of them are unlocked, but I can't recruit any.

If I hover over the RoR button it says, in red, "You cannot currently recruit Regiments of Renown"

Ror with pink/purple colour on unit card = King & the Warlord dlc needed

New Ror units with pink/purple unit cards = Warden & Paunch dlc needed

exploding squigs after Waaagh = should be available

any other unique unit with red colour on unit card (Hydra, Lava Araknarok etc) (if it says it is available but greyed out) = Warden & the Paunch dlc needed.

I know this because I started a campaign with Grimgor Ironhide after the Greenskin update and didn't purchace the dlc yet, & had no access to the bigger trophies (Hydra, Lava Araknarok etc) but prior to that, only exploding squigs were available.

After I downloaded the dlc, (warden & paunch) the bigger Waaagh units were available, along with the new pink/purple dlc ror's.

So depending on what dlc you have or don't have, will be why you can't get said units, unless you are using mods that is screwing with it somehow.

Also you need to be in home territory to recruit RoR.

Damn, I thought the Waaagh unit recruitment was not limited to DLC, MAYBE it's actually a bug - as CA have tendencies to forget to readjust relationships between DLCs and old content. Remember buildings becoming unavailable through bugs and not owning DLC.

I'd write this to them as a bug, maybe on their official own forum, too. I can't think of a reason, that the Waaagh units, which overhaul was part of the FREE update are locked now. The game probably only checks, if you have DLC to allow RoR recruitment, but doesn't check, if you got Waaagh units to allow to open the menu.
