White Untextured Screen on Campaign Map

battles seem totally fine and loading screens are normal for me but if i hang out on the campaign map for a couple of minutes i noticed the gpu hetd start steadily rising until i get a white untextured screen of the map(with all of the text still visible) for a couple of seconds until it snaps back to normal.

Then it slowly starts heating up again.

When i hit end turn it resets the heat.

Just got a new PC
I7-8700k 3.70 ghz
16gb ram
1080 ti EVGA

other games arent having any issues and my last pc didnt have this issue although i didnt try it out after the latest patch.

Anyone else have a similar issue?

I've heard of such issues but I have no idea what causes it, especially with a good rig like yours

You mean the GPU overheats?
If you didn't overclock it or something, maybe i would ask for a replacement. Especially if it is a new PC.

it only goes up to 78 degrees so its not really overheating i just noticed the heat build tup from high 60's that i get in battles.

2080ti 9900k also getting this problem, for me its flashes and then back to normal, i save the game as soon as i see this and just restart. im guessing the end result would be a crash but id ont let it get that far. my gpu topped out at 70 c so its definitely not over heating because 78 c all the time in other games

I was about to scream necro, but this is actually the favoured thing. Someone actually used the search function to try and find a solution!

lol for me it was actually the pc so good luck.
Found out it happened in a couple others games too if you have wow it happened when i did big group content like a world boss so you can test that too or something taxing.
