After 12-14 update, Game wont start [FIXED]
Hello,
After the lab update to the game, my game refuses to start. The launcher loads up just fine, I hit play, the launcher goes away, and I receive an allow game launch text box from steam stating:

Total War: WARHAMMER II is attempting to launch with the optional parameters shown below.
" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Warhammer II\Warhammer2.exe" -dx12"
If you did not request this launch or do not understand these options, select cancel.

I click the "OK" button and it goes away, acts like its loading the game and then I receive another text box stating:

"An error occurred while updating Total War: Warhammer II (app running)"

I've gone through all of the suggestions on the steam help page for the "app running" notification, and none of them have netted any results. In fact, there is nothing related to total warhammer running in the windows task manager at all, nor am I in any betas, or any of the other things that commonly cause this error.

I've tried running the game in DX11, and I get the same errors, except the first pop up has -dx11 at the end instead of -dx12. I've restarted the computer. I've verified local game files. I've completely shut down all things steam related, restarted the computer, and then restarted steam. Every minor, run of the mill thing that we normally do to fix a game not starting, I have tried. Nothing seems to be working.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this? Is it just me?

Thank you for taking the time and attention to look at this, and if you drop a response below with any ideas, thanks for that as well.

FIXED
Apprently, if you go into program filees (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\total war warhammer II
warhammer2.exe is there, select it, and make sure you are NOT running as administrator.
As soon as i unclicked the "Run as Administrator" ticker box, it started working again.

I as well. In the middle of a long Dark Elf coop campaign with a friend, and if I can't load it, then he can't play either.

I had mods previously, but I uninstalled them when I started having problems.
For reference, it was just the one, the better autoresolve mod.

Sorry to hear that. I haven't found any other information about this other than using the method described above to fix the problem. If I run across anything else, I'll be sure to post it here.
