a warhammer looking mount n blade game what doesnt make sense
Th real issue is that a top notch rig can put about 1000 men on the field in M&B.
The mods for bannerlord are going to be great. There already working on a warhammer one
The realest issue re this thread is that control/cohesion etc of your army in M&B is minimal at best compared to TW games. It's pretty basic warfare a la peasant militia or bronze age... you get a mob blob of guys with a wide range of equipment and charge them in. No equipment and training/specialisation by unit like TW, and not much room for finesse.
Even trying hard to make such a system work (and a few games have tried over the years tbh with varying degrees of success but always with limitations) it's always going to be 75/25 army or player control at the very best and a tricky system/control scheme at that. It might be sort of workable but it'd end up being the TW war game that does the worst and for good reason.
M&B is good at what it does, but hasn't been alone in it's genre. TW is the best at what it does, and has no strong competition. Imo a hybrid of the two would be less than the sum of it's parts.
And you want a hybrid of Total War, which in itself has seen massive amounts of work to improve it over the years and still has issues doing everything it sets out to do on the RTS side of things. Let alone adding a whole other facet to the game that now needs to be fleshed out.
No, let's just settle for a fully polished Total War Warhammer game with all the content by the end of the trilogy, shall we? Then see how things look at that point.
The modders at nexus world.
just a few days ago they presented the new modding tools in a video, they are comeing way, way earlier
