Keyboard and Mouse Disconnecting
My keyboard and mouse are disconnecting in game. They both work perfectly on the desktop or when I am playing other games.

The mouse randomly cuts in and out, making dragging and dropping units pretty difficult.

The keyboard has several issues. Sometimes it cuts in and out when I am holding a movement button such as wasd to pan around the battlefield. Other times the keyboard wont work at all. Oddly enough when it wont work at all, I press escape and it doesn't bring up the menu, however if I click the menu the escape button will exit the menu... Also when it "doesn't work at all", I can still do a shift click to select a group of units.....

I've also noticed that sometimes when I load up the game and go into the settings, the controls tab is blank.

Also, I am using a Logitech MK550 Wireless Wave Keyboard and Mouse Combo. I've used this same setup since launch without iusses until now.

To fix the problem so far I've verified my keyboard and mouse are up to date, I've verified the game cache, and uninstalled / reinstalled twice.

Anyone experiencing the same problem ?
Does anyone have a fix for this ?????

Still haven't found the solution to this. Working with customer service to see if they might find a solution for me as well. Was hoping someone in the community already figured this problem out.

So what has changed since this issue started?
Would you say it started after the last update or had some time passed since that came out and the issues started?

I did some searching in regards to the keyboard issue and found threads with similar symptoms with other total war games.
It appears there is an overall obscure issue with keyboards and mice for total war titles.
Have you got a spare keyboard and mouse you could test it with that's wired? perhaps pick up a cheap combo.
What OS are you running?
Have you changed the keybindings in the past?

Here are some examples:

I was also going to suggest closing the Logitech software for the keyboard/mouse and see if that causes you any issues.

To answer questions my problems started when I upgraded to a new "Omen" computer.
This means it wasn't broken by the patch.
I am running windows 10.
I have changed the keybindings before, but my problem started before I did that.

Also thank you for time and you replies so far.

Do you have the Logitech Gaming Software installed or G-Hub which is the new version I believe? If so you could try uninstalling it.

You could also try setting a persistent profile in the settings and profile tab.

I haven't downloaded either of them, so unless its a program/software which downloads automatically when you plug in a Logitech usb, I dont have it.

Yea I tried using the generic wired keyboard and mouse that came with my new computer and I still had the same problem.

I contacted customer support and they had me delete "preference.script.txt file". That didn't help and they are still trying to help but the time between emails is about 24 hours...

Can you try it using different USB ports?

Sure enough this actually fixed my problem !

I pulled out the manual that came with my computer and was looking through it. My new PC came with 9 usb ports... 7 of them were on the back and two were on the top/front. I made the assumption that the two on the front were identical... and because my mouse and keyboard were working fine on the desktop I didn't think anything of it. When reading the manual that came with the PC it says that the first usb port is "USB SuperSpeed port with HP Sleep & Charge". Than the second port was a "USB SuperSpeed port". Switched the usb from the one with Sleep and Charge to the one without, it prompted me to restart my pc to download an update. Restart, loaded up game, and boom, it worked.....
