Rule 34 looks better than other rules. I'm hoping there's a mod for rule 34 lizardmen.
Actually, there probably is.
Stegadons, Carnosaurs and such are just big lizards in everyone's eyes.
Yea, that makes sense.
So dinosaurs aren't really a thing in warhammer and humans or some other race of explorers probably named them lizardmen. Any lore experts know the truth I couldn't figure this one out by web searching it. Actually really reminds me of how europeans called native americans indians even though they didn't actually call themselves that.
Not sure why your are mixing Lore of Warhammer with our world. They draw the inspiration from it (hence the name LIZARD), but they are not "our" dinosaurs. The word dinosaur doesn't even exist in Warhammer as far as I know. So they are just giant lizard-looking people.
Well, instead of telling you in a lengthy format I'll just link a video about their GW's origins for the Lizardmen and WHY they look like dinosaurs.

Actually come to think of it the wiki says sometimes they are refered to as "cold ones" and "children of the Gods" which I think makes alot more sense for an ancient race to not be named after humans.
