Confused about DLC downloads and entitlements...
So I downloaded the game and bought pretty much every DLC that was available. I also tied my Steam account to the vendor's site because I thought they would have special DLC you could only get from having an account with them. At any rate, when I go into the game I see buttons for factions/heroes that make it look as if I don't own them. When I click on the download link in the Steam client it launches the Total War client... if I browse into the TW2 section in the Total War client and click on the DLC items in there, it sends me back to Steam via a browser. WTF is going on here? I bought everything that actually cost money, I thought the "free" DLC was downloaded and applied without any further action on my part. I've never had this much trouble downloading DLC in my life and this is extremely confusing.

Best way I've found to do it is find the Steam store page for the DLC you want, let it open the game when prompted, and that's about it.

If I try clicking on the DLC I want to download while in-game it brings up a browser window making me sign into Steam and I'll be damned if I remember my password since my Steam always autoconnects.

Yeah, you have to exit and restart each time you attach a FLC

FLC, in all games I know of on Steam, need another "click on download, probably for showing consent".

Free DLCs are downloaded automatically, but you still need to activate them. Go into the Total War: Warhammer 2 store page, look at a list of DLCs, those that are activated already will be marked with blue "In library" text on the left. Open those that don't have that text and click Download to activate them (launcher will start and you may close it as DLC is already activated at that moment, it's Steam that does the activation, not the game). Be warned that Mortal Empires DLC is special and requires ownership of both TW:WH1 and TW:WH2 games before you can activate it.

There are two DLCs that you can get from CA site - "30th anniversary regiments of renown" (need WH1 for this one as it unlockes RoR for WH1 factions) and Gotrek&Felix.

I appreciate the feedback guys - it was an issue of having to click the download link, quit the game, rinse and repeat. I've never had to install DLC like this in my life... pretty weird experience.

Yeah ngl it's a bit of a chore, but fortunately you only have to do it once. Once the content is attached to your account, it's there for good and you won't have to go through this again if you need to redownload everything.
