How do I stop the game from auto-saving replays?

The game used to crash on me regularly, but I've figure out the solution- if I don’t have any auto-saved replays, it doesn't crash.

The issue is that the game, in it’s infinite wisdom, auto-saves a replay whenever there is a massive battle and is all like-
“OLOLO BEST FIGHT SAVE IT FOR EVER AND EVER- *FRRRT* oh-I-had-a-computer-brainfart-and-now-I-am-die."

So is there any way to turn the auto-saving of replays off, or at the very least, can some give me a file map so I can straight up delete the replay function from the game? It won't be missed.

I know this is of minimal help but you could look for a mod that disables battle recording. Also, as a guess, there should be a .ini file within the game's folder that you could open with wordpad and search for settings to turn off.

I think what he means is that a replay is being automatically generated during battles which uses too much computer power causing him to crash.

and what elitewrecker is saying is that replays should only be manually saved, anyway. ive never heard of auto replay save, only an auto turn end save.

OP is correct in that an auto save is always available for replay for your most recent battle so if you forgot to save but wanted to revisit an epic battle you can go to menu and check it out

Not aware of anyway to prevent it tho
