Radious is the unique mod that increase upkeep and limit number of armies ?
Sorry bad english

I like to play hard since other difficulties are boring

I tried to play vanilla now with Grom on Hard but it ended tiresome, the empire have more than 30 armies ( no kidding ) and are attacking me every turn non stop. I wanted a mod that limit the number of armies increasing the upkeep, for both player and AI. I know that RADIOUS do it, but I already finished 2 campaign using Radious and I wanted something different now...

Using Radious each faction have a small number of armies, I wanted another overhaul or mod that do the same thing.

The search feature of workshop is so bad, searching for it in there not give me any valid results.

Only find "less" upkeep mods. Try no AI cheat and play higher difficulty (which I see you already did so...)

Try SFO grimhammer. It's much harder than vanilla or radious, but it's so much fun. Changes the game quite a lot.

Just remember one thing: SFO has less armies and the economy is weaker. It's more tactical. Hope it suits your playstyle :)

Also, it's a mod ment o be played in normal or hard campaigns. It's not balanced for VH/legendary, and the same for battles. In SFO the battles are longer, units don't route as often and ranged isn't as overpowered as in vanilla wh2. Elite units are stronger (but have lower units per stack, for example, black guards have 60 soldiers in ultra settings) and monsters are tougher too. Magic costs a lot more, but is stronger. So it's more tactical and less about spamming doomstacks and cheese. For your first time go for normal campaign/normal battle difficulty. Even if you play legendary/legendary in vanilla.

I find the whole thing a bit funny

First CA implement a system which does limit the number of armies (imperium level , tw attila) for both player & AI (except AI huns). Players dont like it and want it removed. CA does remove it for the next game, players then starts to complaining about number of enemy armies.

Probably more to do with "in-depth Diplomacy/Trade mechanics", where the AI benefits almost 100% of the time. Because even without trade deals, the AI still fields more Armies than they should. Im not against larger enemy armies, im against slogs, and constant sieging, where taking/razing another settlement does little to nothing.

Lords can also get insane be sure to take never obsolete AI lords with you never seen sm better than maxed out grimgor clashing with other lvl 40 legend lords and lower rank retinues just kinda die if cought in between them:D
