Skaven ranged units are consistently bugged[severe bug]
The problem with the Skaven units is that many of them have a relatively shallow arc of firing; the Warpfire throwers cannot attack over bumps in terrain, the Globadiers don't appear to have a large arc either, in comparison to virtually all elven ranged units. I think this is the source of the problem as it appears to clash with units thinking they can/can't fire. These problems don't occur, or at least not a fraction of as often, with other factions.

The plague catapult works virtually always with exception of firing at revealed units "covered" in forests as it causes them to randomly move up rather than firing occasionally. So these just face the "regular" bugs.

Warpfire throwers are the biggest offender, followed closely by the globadiers. Both units consistently refuse to attack and stand idle despite not being obstructed(not showing the obstructed icon), facing the opponent, having ammo and being within range of opposing troops. The Warpfire cannon is the third on the list, at random refusing to fire and either standing idle or moving up on units well within range, vision and without being obstructed. The slingers often face problems aswell, but nobody uses them anyway so whatever.

Frankly I find it pretty unacceptable that people face really fundamental issues like these whilst the developers are busy with adding DLC to a game that hardly works.

The only issue I encountered while playing skavens concerned the underground siege battles, where the fire arc or Plague-Claw Catapults may be obstructed by the upper limit of the map (need to use the ALT key). Otherwise, if you use your ranged units properly - by placing your artillery on a hill e.g. - you should not have any issue. If you don't care about frindly fire, you can also force your artillery to fire using the ALT key.

dude they try to help you to position your warpfire thrower better look i play mostly skaven and the warpfire thrower need to have a clear sight with absolutly no engaged friendly unit in front of them because they going to not shoot (for that is strange because well skaven love backstab) if you see for exemple a frontline engaged with a stormvermin unit try to position your warpfire thrower in flank or must better in rear the ennemy engaged with your stormvermin so they could shoot anytime and burn them

or if you still not undertsand i would try to make you a picture

Can you stop fragmenting your sentences for no reason?

You realize this a 60 euro game? If I purchase an expensive car I expect it to work, if I purchase a car too good for it's price I expect it to work at least in the fundamental departments. But TWW2 does neither. How can a triple A game be allowed to have gamebreaking bugs like these on release and then still sell for the highest pricetag acceptable AND pump out new DLC for a considerable price?

I honestly find it baffling you're ven attempting to defend them in this. Even if you're a die hard fanboy.

You compare a 15.000€ car to a 60€ game.

Your car works, its just that the radio display sometimes does not work, so you have to wait for the garage to get a new radio, so they can replace it.

Its not that your car does not start and you cant get to work, or listen to music. The gear and shifting works also.

Your game works.

On a sidenote 60€ is one night out with my girlfriend, this is not much money you realize that too, yes?

I play with a modded game (where this isn't a problem) so I may be speaking completely off base here and not completely understanding the issue but, Skaven not willing to fire into their own units is very inconsistant with their lore and (in particular with Skavenslaves) inconsistant with the tabletop rules. Not that the later needs to be given a huge consideration when it comes to balancing the game but, needing to have your warpfire throwers in a perfect position so they can't hit your own troops is someething I woud consider a problem that should be fixed.

Game breaking? Hardly.
And your car rant is vastly different.
Next 60 is MORE than a reasonable fair price for this title. Unless you MAGICALLY know cost of production you are simply talking out your ass on what you think isnt a fair price youre basically just a yelp food critic with zero knowledge or understanding on how to rate something fairly

Since this is a place to report bugs, I feel it is appropriate to report a recent one I came across. The other day, while playing Empire, I suddenly felt a strong, firm grip on my shoulders. I started receiving a massage, and just assumed it was my wife. I say, "thanks sugar tits ( I call her that )," and started to turn in my chair to stare at her chest.

Well I was certainly surprised to find none other than the Karl Franz was behind me, and giving me the massage. It felt good, and I'm man enough to let another man massage me, so I just let him continue. The massage lasted 15 minutes, then Karl disappeared. What a weird glitch.

I play the skaven all the time and dont have a problem with this. The only legitimately tricky ranged unit to use is th warpfire thrower because its a direct shot from a low angle. Ive neve had issues with the other ranged as long as i give them enough space for their arc

I'm not sure if you played the previous title, but from my experience with it I'd say this is a feature and not a bug. For me, empire gunners consistently refused to fire from behind friendly lines unless they were on elevated terrain (as they should, the bullets don't arc at relatively close distances). Same deal with the crossbow wielding unit of the dwarves, and sometimes with Greenskin bow units. High Elves have an easier time since they're master bowmen with good gear, so they know how to arc their shots so that they go over friendlies but still land on target.

Skavenslaves are probably as skilled as a 10 year old kid with a sling (maybe even less so), so they probably wouldn't risk losing their stones (no pun intended) throwing them at arcs which further decrease their accuracy. Flamethrowers don't arc, and so shouldn't warpfire throwers. Globadiers should imo, but I think those units are alchemists first and athletes second so a short distance is acceptable.

All that said, I'd prefer it if the Skaven had no qualms about friendly fire. You have a shot at the enemy but will kill a few dozen slaves or clan rats with it? Take the shot, enjoy the glory! Those meatshields were just incompetent to be in the way, and the warlord won't give a damn about the casualties anyway. This would not only be within the lore and TT rules, but alleviate the problems you're having playing with them.

Also wanted to throw in that this bug, while it does happen sometimes (and is infuriating, true) happens rather rarely and when it does, moving the units around works all the time. Every single time.

Also played at least 3 me campaigns with queek and the warpfire throwers are in every mid to lategame army.

I like how this guy expected globadiers who THROW their projectiles to automatically be able to do so at an arc comparable to elven archers who SHOOT theirs.

This guy serious?

Also sling runners are great.
