Question about the lore - did Caledor join the Dark Elves?
Hi guys, I read somewhere that during one of Malekith´s invasions on Ulthuan, Caledor joined the Dark Elves and as a result, Tyrion denounced the kingdom. Can anyone tell me more about this? What did imrik do? Did the Caledor/Dark Elf alliance work?

What I really wonder is this.

Okay, a dude with an /absolute antimagic hat/ gets chucked into the Realms of Chaos. AKA - THE BLOODY WARP. The source of all magic, home of the chaos gods.

Why did they not utterly obliterate him and that blasted hat, since it had to be doing horrible things to their house?

Sure, Tzeentch and Nurgle may have had issues bringing him down, but Slanny and Khorneyboy use a lot of daemons that are very big on just taking a sword and chopping you to pieces (or an axe, or bladed whip, or what have you). They could also drag Archaon out of whatever corner he was stashed in at that time and toss him in on it, and whatever else they could think of.

Lore even suggests that they could reach into 40k and just hit him with Cult Traitor Marines. Sure, he's a major badass, but I'm certain nothing in his long life has ever prepared him for Noise Marines.

They could also literally eject him from the warp into the depths of the ocean, or straight into the Maelstrom, or the Castle Drakenhof throneroom, or Setta's treasury, or any other place that's the absolute last place you'd want to find yourself unprepared, alone, unsupported, and disoriented.

Malekith is useful to chaos. Prior to the end times he did more damage to the forces of order than all the everchosens combined. He crippled both the high elf and dwarf empires at the height of their power which in turn allowed the rise of the Skaven and Greenskins. Him and Morathi created the lore of dark magic which allowed nagash to create the first vampires.

He regularly allied with chaos in his invasions of Ulthuan and summoned daemons to rampage all over the continent. At one point he even attempted to unmake the vortex which is the only thing that keeps chaos from overrunning the world with endless hordes of daemons.

He is the single most destructive being in all of warhammer fantasy, which is what makes the end times and the notion that he is some kind of misunderstood hero so ridiculous.

They still could have just punted him and that stupid hat back into Naggarond then. That hat being in the warp *had* to be a problem.
Don't pay attention to End Times "plot". It's a complete pile of utter trash. Just a stupid Dragon Ball Z anime mash up of major characters to have anime fights with eachother. Not a story written about/for a war strategy game. Just a bunch of shoe horned drama for an excuse to create EPIC BATTLES and an even poorer excuse for creating Age of Stinkmar
