Actually, Malus and Elric would recognise a lot in each other. And try to kill each other ASAP....
Sounds like a perfect match for HBO to me. Personally I'd rather they don't pick it up, though.
They'd probably screw it up even worse than Throne of Games even with all the source material written already.
Andrzej Sapkowski seems to have done well by that, tho...
Yes, the high and dark elves are an almost carbon copy of Melniboné, but it's also hard not to see the direct link between Moorcock's chaos and Warhammer's.
It's not just Warhammer of course, D&D itself drew a lot from Moorcock's works.
That's the thing about WH/WH40k: It's always been like playing in a giant toybox of everyone else's stuff.
