What causes T-pose?
Title says it all. Was curious if anyone with under the hood know-how knew what caused this bug. I know it will get fixed I'm just curious.

Not 100% sure but I think animations are basically a series of smaller animations that are played in an order depending on what the game play part of the engine requests. So if for instance it starts with 'standing', then 'running', then 'shield up', then 'fighting', the 'falling', then 'getting up' etc. But if the game play sends a request to retrieve and play animation 'fighting' but for some reason the request can't be completed it simply reverts to default. The default for most games is T-Pose. Happens a lot in Star Citizen.

Some characters just want to join traveling circus and follow their dreams

the requested animation ID wasn't found so it goes with the default one, which is the T pose.

I always get a chuckle out of seeing an agent T-pose horse riding across the map, makes me think of Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail "You got two empty halves of coconuts, and your banging them together!".

I bet the Bretonnian factions would be good candidates for a Monty Python mod, there are choices for LL's, lords, RoRs, and units. The Grail Reliquae already fits in quite well too, watching those in combat is quite silly.

Freshly happened to me. Tomb kings campaign one of my priests got wounded in battle and after he woke up again it was t posing on the horse while unit card said his speed is 30 so it was recognised as on foot. turning his mount off and on fixed it.

Ahhh, it happening when an agent respawns would make sense, has it only happened with horse mounts? I've only seen it happen with horse mounts so far, I wonder if it can happen on flying and monsterous mounts too.

Modder here, I think its because of the glitch where agents are randomly losing their mounts. Resulting in the game thinking of using the horse rider animations, but in actuality the agents are suppose to be using on foot animations. Try to check t-posing agents to see if they are even using mounts.

I think it only happen after the heroes respawn while they on the mount. Letting the heroes join the lord's army also fix the t posing.

But aside from that.

T-pose is generally the base used for the model textures

Too many monster energy drinks. What is followed later is constant dabbing. Thank the gods we haven't hit that stage yet.
