Haha yes.
"Lord Caledor, it seems you have a hoarding items, cluttering regiments with useless junk, dirty banners and rusty swords.... The complaints from squires are mounting, 2 died from exhaustion reports suggest."
"My Lord! I beg of you! I need these items to win battles! What if I have an empty slot? What if +4 attack helps me win a battle against a Chaos lord? Or, or, or the banner of leadership, do you not respect leadership?!"
"Yes, you're absolutely correct! (loads him up with every useless item he's hoarded") Into battle you go glorious lord of Caledor! Saviour of the realm, conquerer of the Chaos Lords and bane of Melekith! Onwards!!"

Is there a way now to get rid of unwanted followers, banners and runes?

That's definitely not a mod I'd want.

i try this declutter mod. Seems a good thing for me. Thx a lot Invisible.
Tomb king and dwarf is the two factions where you have near perfect item management. Giving that feature to everyone is just plain power creep.
