Total War: WARHAMMER II

Lizardmen AI just spams dinosaurs. WTF?!
I get that Total War is somewhat infamous for having AI that's either super smart, or insanely stupid, but this is a whole new level. I'm playing as the Dark Elves (Malekith to be specific) whilst my final ritual is in progress, and the Last Defenders (lizardmen) attack one of the settlements I had taken in Ulthuan. The majority of their army was made up of feral carnosaurs, feral stegadons, feral bastiladons, and their saurus old-blood general on a carnosaur mount. Just look at this screenshot:

I had no armies nearby to help, and the dark elf garrisons are an absolute joke. Not enough anti-large armor piercing units to combat one of the dinosaurs, let alone SIXTEEN of them (plus two units of Kroxigors which are very powerful). Other armies of the same faction were often 90% skink missile troops as well.

Creative Assembly, FIX THIS!

Really looks like the LM rite and then it did some recruitment. Does not look like the LM AI recruited that army from scratch since the number of ferral dinosaurs and number of each type is what I have gotten the three times I used that rite.

I do have one thing to say about when and if you fight that army. Expect heavy losses, but you can win that fight. If you do not want the heavy losses and autoresolve puts the power favorability further on your side then the LM's use it.

I know using the army I got from the rite against the AI will cause heavy casulities against almost any army it can throw at you. Even with autoresolve says my dino army has no chance of winning. The opposite is also true if you manually fight the battle. I suffered heavy losses to get the victory. If you happen to have an army better equipped than mine to deal with them you may fare a little better. Just seems every time a run across the AI army spawned using that rite it was against an army that just did not have a lot of anti large in it.

as anyone saying its the rite of primeval glory so its not a spam or anything else this rite actualy spawns an army of feral dinos in their capital

I see. Well, they still at least ought to fix the dark elf garrisons in minor settlements. Black Ark Corsairs with handbows are effing useless against mid and late game units

Like others said, that's a rite... That said, you can run into some painful or just plain odd army compositions such as 19 dragons, or the rogue army that sometimes spawns which is just a lord and a whole lot of artillery.

19 dragons isn't odd - its a flight of dragons! (devistation and fire and murder and death)

I had that rogue army scouring the north when i played as dark elf, those guys are obscene they were basically a full faction by the time they started to be pushed back
