Best solution is probably creating a mod that sets generals speed to zero.
so it is testing against an AI. You can´t test units like that, you have no controle over where you engage. Who gets off the charge, who braces for the impact,...
Always test units with a player. Full controle over every thing that matters.
also i like stretching and condensing my units formation to see how much longer they last or how much faster they're killing.
things like how much longer will your unit last against a bad match up if they're bunched together instead or in a long line.
seems the easier option would be to just make lords optional in custom battles.
I guess i was the only one who thought this would be useful
this honestly seems the best option if the Total War devs won't do this simple fix
I did test who is the strongest infantry vs infantry unit that way.
