Late game Greenskin army?
Hey guys what would be your ideal late game greenskin army in campaign, just assume endless money. Ive been running around with 4 arrow boyz, 2 boar boy biggins, 2 doom divers a runic idol and araknarok spiderand the rest black orks on hard

But there a beefy triple dragon, triple pheonix high elf army that is quite spooky. Would you guys usually get a ton more spiders / idols or is it still worth to go lots of black orks

Which legendary lord? That'd dictate a lot of your choices.

I'm far from an expert, and I'd like a good answer as well as you.

From my point of view.
You mentionned hard difficulty, so I'll answer with that in mind.
Also, I haven't full played a GS campaigns since new patch.

I guess with the new WAAGGHH, in a campaign on hard you want to be getting WAAGHH points, so a strong melee infantry. Late game, I guess 1 Rogue Idol becomes kind of a must.
2-3 WAAGH is probably ideal during one battle. But most of the time you might have only 1, maybe 2.
I will not preach cheese, but Gobbos archers (with lord buffs and if Grom, obviously cauldron), if well protected, seems pretty OP right now.
Also, beside units the combination of rampage and They need stabbin is basically 360 no scope on a hero or lord.
Doom divers, IMO is a must, if only to force enemy to move. As greenskins, being on the defensive can kind of be an advantage if you can micro.

There is a video of Legendoftotalwar winning against all odds with a 4 units of doom divers, lots of gobbos archers, and some distraction. Did not use arachnok or Idol, yet managed.

In the end, try stuff and have fun, I think it's the way to go.

You can't go wrong with black orcs. It also depends on what the enemy fields. Greenskin units are not the most slot effective units to be honest, so if you are facing a doomstack on a higher difficulty, you'll probably have to win manually or use multiple stacks (hence the waaagh mechanic in the first place), at which point you want a somewhat balanced composition with heavy infantry for the ground work, some fast units to take out the enemy artillery and some artillery of your own to soften up the hard targets.

I don't think there's a one fits all army for Greenskins, they have alot of units that do their respective job well enough, but for different enemies you want different things. You can just run over dwarves with blocks of blackorcs and some fast cav to get into the gunlines. For woodelves you'll need quite a few more fast units, so you don't get kited too much.

The other options is to just stack blorcs with monsters and go for auto resolve, but if you want to manual fight battles, a good mix depending on your opponent is the best imo.

generally i go, 5 black orks,two nasty skulkers, two night goblin fanatics, 2 night goblin archers, 2 night goblin squig hoppers, 2 boar boy big uns, 2 of the big spiders (ill be damned if i try to spell it), and 2 rouge idols

You don't get heroes? (You amount to 19 from the army composition, so only your LL with that?)

Its just a personal choice but no, generally no heros, unless i need a caster

I'd always include an Orc Shaman. Foot of Gork is amazing in Singleplayer. I usually rack up 300-400 kills on him easily on pretty much any battle and possibly even more on big or grindy battles.

Boars need to be run with goblin cavalry(wolf-spider then squigs) they are so slow, chariots are also something to consider with your cavalry, I would say its in your best interest to run them, (mobile units that can tank damage). You need monsters to backup up your melee line you can't escape it in late game because blorks are not the best higher infantry and now GS have atleast a decent chain which scales very well from early to late game to assist in that.
