I don't know specifically, but I did see that destroying a faction entirely usually deletes the prisoners you have from their faction. I wonder if LLs can only be held for so long. I only ever captured Luthor Harkon but I ended the campaign two turns later.

Now my Prison is stuck on 1/1 even though Grom is no longer there. What the heck.

I've seen a few issues in my campaign too. I had prisoners disappear without knowing why and had the thing tell me I had prisoners that I didn't. I never really understood why it all happened but it ended up evening itself out over time.
I had some issues associated with confederation of a prisoner too. I think it got resolved the next time I loaded my game up.
Should’ve got Stallone to prison check for you, haha.

You captured an imposter obviously. Although the intent is not for you to hold the LL for an indefinate period of time.

I dunno... Some of those effects you get when you interrogate them are great. Once I had vampirates and dark elf buffs my armies felt unstoppable. Between Extra Powder! (and the Handmaiden ranged buff) and the dark elf melee buffs for killing a certain amount of enemies, my armies were insanely powerful. My arrows basically deleted half the army in the first two volleys and once they got in melee range my units had such good buffs that the nearly routing enemies barely lasted their charge before routing into more arrow fire. I was never going to release those fools if it meant I could keep those effects.
