Vampire Counts and Greenskins are completely out of control.

I appreciate the Greenskin rework but ever since that happened the Greenskins and the VC make the Auld World a living hell for everyone.

The Greenskin Confederation system while cool is way to strong at the moment. They should not be able to simply confederate all other Greenskins around in under 30 turns. I think a cooldown timer for force confederation is in order.

With the Vampire Counts i am not sure what exactly changed but they went from a punching bag for everyone to dominating the entire Empire & Kislev pretty much uncontested. I'm playing a Empire campaign with my brother as the Dwarves right now and The Greenskins Confederated Wurrzag in under 20 turns and now send Doomstack after Doomstack into the Silver road while the Ai Elector counts loose one region after another to the VC giving me minus Imperial Authority in quick succession making my campaign almost unplayable.

Not sure who playtested this but they did not do their job.

ppl still see order tide and dwarfs come out on top often enough. play at least 10 games before you speak to balance in the game, and really you need hundreds of examples to say anything valid

Oh and If you play Orks.

You will see Dwarf tide and Skaven tide.

No we are playing on Hard. With mods that remove some of the cheaty Ai advantages and still get creamed. Just before this comes up. We are experienced Total War: Warhammer Veterans. The last couple days we have also played as Greenskins (Skarsnik & Grimgor Head to Head) and the VC part of my initial post played out exactly like it now did for me as Empire. VC straight up march all over and take 70% of the empire + Kislev with Mannfred being the main offender there. Vlad takes parts of Stirland and the Golden Order but stays mostly "tame".

In my Imrik Solo Campaign it also played out the same for VC and Greenskins. By Turn 45 I had to abandon my initial starting Provinces and run for the Southlands to flee from Gringors 7 Doomstacks with attached Waaagh Armies.

Every minor Faction between the Tomb Kings and the Blackfire Pass is gone past turn 50 at the lastest.

Well Vampire usually dominate empire in my games too, probably because of their instant spawn mechanic.

Orks also mass confederate.

You can try to nerf it by mod. But I like challenge.

So what AI advantages are removed? Is it possible these have less impact on the VC than on the empire?

No. Its player related debuffs that got removed. Public Order and Extra Upkeep to name the 2 we use. They don't really affect the Ai but are there to help the Ai in Vanilla. Or to say it in other words they handicap you to increase difficulty in a cheaty way.

That's actually amazing. I favor playing the Tomb Kings, High Elves and Bretonnia. The idea that the Dwarfs and the Empire are actually getting wiped out by the Greenskins and the Vampire Counts will really make it feel like crap is hitting the fan over there.

I have so far been only playing Vortex but will definitely do a Mortal Empires run with the new characters in the near future.

Unless you plan on fighting nothing but VC & Greenskins i cannot recommend it. Its total BS at this point. CA really needs to learn to strike a Balance.

What is not to like about facing hordes of Greenskins and the Undead and taking back the lands of Men and Dwarfs? I also play with the Norsca settles everywhere mod so I hope they get in on the action

To each their own i guess. I like it when the Ai gives me a challenge but this is not a challenge its pure pain. And a very boring campaign. Wanna start some trouble with the Empire as Imrik? Well better Hurry up cuz by turn 40 they are on the brink of Annihilation. Wanna have a order Campaign with some Ai Factions as your allies ? Well good luck they die faster then you can get the needed Reputation with them to become your friends.

I have played 3 greenskin campaigns since it came out 1 as grom, skarsnik and grimgor. Once saw dwarves as a power house against me while empire was holding the north but south was vc in another vc wiped out empire and in the last after I wiped out dwarves the VC we're almost completely wiped out.

One of the factors that may be helping VC though is the weapon strength is not calculating correctly it's a massive bug. And may make your battles harder.

Honestly I have found the changes to the map to have increased the balance between ai factions. VC has become a real threat.
From my observations though bretonia hasn't really formed as a powerhouse which has weakened the empire as they don't get a chance to destroy norsca tribes

according to CA ordertide should win 60% of the time, reading comments on the forum doesnt make me think this isnt the case
