Alright so looked up a few things and nothing really helped as its all confusing.

Apparently, Tomb King armies are trash but their constructs and chariots are good? As well as their monsters?

Most important thing about the Tomb Kings is that their units neither have a recruitment cost nor a upkeep.
So your armies are always free.
On the other hand your standard units are subpar, your economy is garbage and you are limited to only having as many armies as you have Tomb King leaders and you only get one every 15-20 turns if you research them.

So how to play Tomb Kings is, CAREFUL.
You are very vulnerable in the in early game because most armies will beat you 1:1.
So your goal is to get 2-3 armies running as fast as possible to gang up on enemies and to reach the higher tier constructs and monster units.
On the other hand, losing a army or two here and there is no big deal, they are just back in a few turns with a full force.

In the late game Tomb Kings are pretty much one of the strongest factions army wise.
IF you survive till then.

Ok I see. So just don't be aggressive in the early game. Now I understand more.

The time it takes to research new dynasty is about basically playing defensively(more important in early game but you can cede settlements to the AI so long as you time things well, the benefit here is the AI will rebuild them for you, just counter attack(with additional stacks and take them back) you must make sure you have banked enough gold for when its time to muster a new army, also gained enough Canopic jars/gold for hero's spawns, they are important for every stack you field. Using your funds is tricky there is never enough gold to go around so I only concentrate on building up my main capital and save my gold for research/Rites.

Also you must make sure you are mustering high rank units, indeed everytime you research a dynasty you should enact Incantation Of Tahoth(time it) its essential for ranks and the casket of souls. Recruiting hero's with ranks is also good and using the province edict for rank. Basically stack the ranks together with the red skills the lower tier tomb kangz garbage gets decent, the exception is the godawful carrion.

I really like the TK roster, but they feel much slower than other factions. I don't enjoy running around with tons of skeletons for too long.

I just dont know much abut the game. Its COMPLETELY different from Rome 2. lol

i just started playing the tomb kings, so im not an expert, but they're pretty cool and unique so far. you don't need to worry about army recruitment or upkeep costs since you can recruit any unit you want for free. the higher tier units have caps on how many you can recruit and unlock once you build their respective building, while things like skele spears/swords have no cap.

that means your economy is gonna be trash to balance this out unless you sack and raid a lot, but the only thing you really spend money on are buildings so you can get those higher tier units. money can help in diplomacy too, but you really want those high tier units. if your army gets destroyed, you can just recruit a new stack relatively quickly, which is nice. just make sure other armies don't ♥♥♥♥ up your buildings, because with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ economy, rebuilding everything will take a lot of time.

their play style is pretty fun, but kinda micro heavy. i'm still around turn 20 with khalida, but your general gameplan is to use skeletons as meat shields and then flank with cav/chariots/nehekara and shred with your archers. you have 90 archers per unit too which helps with their dps. the necro knights and sepulchral stalkers are awesome units that khalida starts with if you go that route. she gives her army poison attacks too which is neat.

I find that Tomb Kings early games rely a lot on your decent archers and good chariots. Later on their constructs are indeed beasts that tear everything apart (Their constructs are monsters, they don't really have any monster units that aren't constructs).

But they are a rather unique faction, you wont have a lot of money, but your armies are free just requiring buildings to unlock slots and research to get more lords. So you don't really have to worry overly much about losing troops (since they cost you nothing).

So as long as you hang on until your settlements level up and/or your research reaches the state were you get more armies you tend to succeed.

To any new players... I might set up a big game for all of us.... I love playing as the skaven. They set up secret bases under other races city’s.... they are SO FAST and we are powerful in numbers... plus stormvermin and gutter runners have been my obsession ever since I got to kick major ass with them in blood bowl. Bro’s I’m about to re buy blood bowl 2 since it’s like 4$ right now.

With the Tomb Kings you need to play it chill... cheese and patient.

Here is what helped me a lot understand various factions.
He also did a video on the best infantry in the game and surprisingly the Tomb Kings ranked very high and don't cost a whole lot.

Ok so from reading this, it seems Skele swords/spears as a front line holder, and use a lot of archers. How do I use chariots? Dont they die quickly?

And archers are capped so go for the archer upgrades quickly too so i can do better with them?

As well as doing like 2-3 armies in an attack?

What about tomb heroes? Is Settra really good period or is he lower on the scale? The warlock one, the fourth one looked fun but I didn't care for him.

Chariots can be really good (Tomb kings being a excellent faction to use them since you don't have anything else that is good early on), but they require a ton of micro.

Did a basic search on youtube to find a guide:

Don't get too excited about archers. You will probably field max 4 archers in your army. With chariots, simply charge into rears and run. you can only frontally charge archers.
Ragnarok May 30, 2020 @ 11:02pm
So Chariots are how you do things but you also have very little of those.

Guess I'll just have to practice more. I was doing deceny as Settra until i got angry at an npc taking a city i wanyed lol.

Tomb King infantry, the basic ones are actually not that bad if you can swarm and surround your enemies while also shooting them with your archers. But hammer and anvil tactics should be your go to strategy.
