Is it worth putting on of Imrik's nobles on a mount?
With the new DLC, I have been playing Imrik quite a lot. He's hard, for me, at least, to get used to. His position, in my opinion, is one of the hardest in the game on the Vortex Campaign. With his heroes, I am finding it hard to justify putting my noble on anything other than a horse.

Stats are as follows:

Ithilmar Steed: Current Mount
Armor: 130 Leadership: 130 Speed: 84 Melee Attack: 53 Melee Defense: 70 Weapon Strength: 354 Charge Bounus: 49

Great Eagle:
Armor: 75 Leadership: 79 Speed: 118 Melee Attack: 58 Melee Defense: 57 Weapon Strength: 437 Charge Bounus: 72

Ithilmar Chariot:
Armor: 125 Leadership: 79 Speed: 84 Melee Attack: 43 Melee Defense: 46 Weapon Strength: 312 Charge Bounus: 74

Is there something in the math that I am missing? It seems to me that, overall, he just seems better off on the horse.

Thank you in advance,

Eve

Depends what you want. An Eagle is obviously better in a siege or if there are fliers your lord needs help with, and a chariot is better for cycle charging infantry. You might even put him on foot if there's a significant anti large component to the enemy you're fighting.

In most situations I do just leave them on the horse to quickly respond to the movements of enemy characters or single entities.

i believe nobles keep the anti large so if you gonna face lots monster? good
lots of skirmishers? eagle would be a good choice..
lots of tough infantry like dwarves and chaos? put him on chariot

that's why all mounts should be unlocked immediatly ca pls

Thanks! I really appreciate it! I wasn't looking at it from that angle. I was just looking at the numbers. What I get for not playing for a while and sleeping in between!

Thank you again,

Eve

nobles lose both there AP and AL when on eagle

like a noble eagle is just a buffed regular eagle that also provides encourage

Oh man I didn't know that. Always felt he was a bit stronger on foot than on the eagle, this is problably why then.

The horse is the best by far. He retains antilarge to kill anything large and is tanky enough to fight antilarge himself.

The eagle is pointless as you have dragons and imrik.

The chariot is pointless as you have dragons and imrik...

You have no decent anitlarge until pgs.

On foot hes okay too but will get bashed around and then ends up slow...

Stick him with some dragon princes and they can kill anything.

Nobles are the best he hero unit bar the mages. Loremasters are meh and maidens cant tank anything...

As with all mele cav/flying units, you do not want them surrounded when unsupported or opening them up to focus fire.

Have them hang back (or position them for a good flank) untill they got a clear target and don't leave them in combat for to long, it's normally their charge bonus that does the work.

that is why

master on a pegasus>noble on eagle

like noble eagle is the most pointless thing ever not because he is bad but because he is REDUNDANT same problem units like saurus spears have they are redundant in the roster

IF i want a cheap flyer i bring a great eagle

IF i want a flying assassin i bring a phoenix "Now in 3 different flavoursTM"

noble on eagle is a buffed up regular eagle with encourage and thats it again if you want a flyer to dive bomb isolated targets use a phoenix "of your choosingTM ok il stop now"

nobles on foot kind of suck "though can be usefull in some situations" on horse they are essentially the same as on foot but they can now actually catch there targets thanks to increased mobility

chariot noble is a different unit entirely so really not worth comparing

you bring a noble chariot for the same reason you would bring a normal one

btw noble chariots are superior to ithilmar chariots though i think with the new white lion chariots i think they may replace noble chariots as white lion chariots are power creep via dlc 101 as they are now the best chariot in the game "tested compared to similar chariots such as razorgor chariots TK chariots gorebeast chariots and cold one chariots"

There is also one factor you are probably forgetting and that's splash dmg and animation. So if I am not mistaken killing potential of infantry is highest with eagle, but has different-slower animation, thus perhaps is on pars with chariot. While horse is best for dueling and pursuing, because its dmg will go to less entities. I usually pick horses asap, then waiting for epic mount if it has one, for each race.
