Vortex Final Battle Help

When i teleport to the final battle it shows me against 4 armies. I tried fighting the battle 3 times but the reinforcement enemy armies come out as soon as the match starts. Even if i make a break for the high elve defence position on the cliff the reinforcing armies chew up my artillery before they get close to the hill. Baffled i looked up a youtube video and in the video the enemy would only spawn one army, wait for the player to beat it until spawning the next, making the battle much more plausible. I saw the advisor also talking about the battle instructing him. Mine didnt come out either, the game just threw me into a gangbang. How come on my game at least two reinforcement enemy armies start coming out as soon as the battle starts? What am i doing wrong?

1.) Start the battle with a less crappy army.
2.) Start as high up as you can and use chokepoints to delay the enemy while using the free and entirely overpowered army abilities you get for the battle to both stay alive and slaughter the enemy.

The reinforcement armies shoudn't be coming instantly, in fact I believe its scripted so that they only come once the previous army has been routed.

Ill upload a video tommorow. Ive gathered its supposed to work in waves, but mine come out like a regular battle enemy reinformcent army, right at the start. Maybe itll work if when i restart the game. I hope.

The vortex abilities don't show up for me... I defeat the first army, then nothing... :(

I'm having the same issue as you mate. Playing as Queek. DID NOT expect the other three waves to come in and buttf**k me, all of them at the same time. Would gladly appreciate any help.

normally you have 2 abilities that pop up after you deafet the first army. 1 ability heaals and the other does high dmg to large packs of enemies. Without these 2 abilities it's almost impossible to win the final battle. Alas it seems like a bug, because the abilities don't pop up for me (normally at the right of the screen).

Same problem here on queek. Clicking the "start battle" button ushers in the apocolypes with 4 armies coming from all sides.

just google for desaster battle (to give you an idea how to abuse the ai) and get like 18 stegadon. It will probably work out for you guys.

I'm not having the problem with the four armies appearing at once, but I am having the issue of the vortex powers not appearing. It is very frustrating.
