Free DLC still not downloading
Some of the free DLC is not downloading, the ones I have except mortal realms aren't working in game. When trying to download the remaining dlc it just opens the launcher. Anyone got any suggestions?

For the free dlc, you need to go in game, go to downloadable content, select the free dlc you want, it'll open up the Total War website inside the Steam overlay, login to your Total War account and confirm you want the dlc, then it unlocks in game.

It's a stupid way of doing it but hey, free dlc.

You don't have to go ingame to activate the Total War Access stuff.

The FLCs don't download anything, but the way it's always worked for me to activate them is to go to their store page in the client, and clicking to activate which will open the launcher as you know, but after that instead of closing the launcher opening the game.

What isn't working exactly?

Right that's how I did it the first time, indeed a stupid way, problem now is I don't remember my password and Sega is not sending me an email when I request a new one :D. But what about the dlc not working ingame. I don't see any of the heroes or regiments of renown or anything. For instance I have all the buildings required to hire the white dwarf, but I still can't. Ah well I guess you don't know that either.

Ah, Grombrindal is a WH1 DLC, sometimes that can be harder to activate if you don't have WH1 installed.
As for the regiments of renown DLC, those are for the WH1 DLC races and only available to activate through their site.

For me I used the steam app to go in the game store, choose the free dlc then click the download wait until they open the launcher and close it. Repeat those steps with all the free dlc

Well, I can't access some of the content ingame like I say in my response above this one, I could be missing something terribly obvious of course I just bought the game a week ago :)

Right so I should install WH1 to make it work? ok I will try that, bit odd really good thing I got that game for free when buying some minis :D

It's wonky as hell to get the FLC to actually activate. Just gotta keep opening closing trying to claim it. They really should have a better system in place to activate it by now. It doesn't do that with paid DLC so i'm not sure what they hang up is.

You can try just going to his page and clicking to activate but canceling the installation. It should work.

I am even more confused now, so if I want to play Norsca do I need to buy the dlc for Warhammer 1? just checking the DLC there and it has some of fractions I want.

I dont think u need to install WH1 in order to add this to WH2. U just need go to the WH1 dlc store using steam app then click download when it shows the download settings close it. After that the dlc will be added to your game.

Yes, you need to buy the DLCs if you want to use them in the combined campaign.
