We can now assign AI control to reinforcements!
Oh my god it has finally happened! No longer will we have to bounce between two 20 stack armies on opposite ends of the map! THANK YOU CA!! Keep making this game great!

AI for your army is dumber than the enemy AI, thats for sure. Suicide tactics(or lack of tactics) and somehow they tend to just wait at the reinforcement area after they join the battle. Maybe they can scale AI capabilities with Lord level?

That said im quite happy for having this option. Really hate having to micro big armies. Besides, the bad AI its not a big deal since my AI reinforcement armies usually compose of cheap basic infantry and ranged.

I have not seen my ai controlled armies go passive, i have only seen them go super aggressive which since i am only playing greenskins atm, i guess works out.

On Siege maps they seem to go for the doors you aren't using but if you have one open they will send a few troops over to help out. They have been dam awesome there.

Great feature, but sometimes it shows that ai control button for allies armies, which kinda wierd. That button shouldn't even show up for their forces.

I tried the AI control again for my extra reinforcement. They were close to me compared to the enemy, and the enemy reinforcement was practically across the map.

I tried two times with the same battle, the first time I battled center at default spawn anticipating my reinforcements, yet the enemy reinforcements reached me first.

My second try is a screenshot attached, I went closer to my own reinforcements anticipating their support. Yet, the enemy and the enemy reinforcements took enough damage on me and I didn't find the reinforcements by AI control useful because they didn't reach me fast enough.

The third time I took control, simply told my extra reinforcements to "RUN" and wala they helped... lol. Unless i'm missing something and running is bad. >.<

Well the AI isnt' smart. It doesn't run because it will fatigue the soldiers. The only time they will run is if they are being flanked and must reposition fast or are being bombarded by artillery or ranged. From the look in your screenshot, it looked like your reinforcing army is behind your lines. You should move closer to them instead of waiting for them to catch up. The AI feature is nice because it takes a lot of micro out of large armies but it's also something that you have to kind of instinctively know when it will work, when it won't and what it will do. You can't treat it like an actual thinking human.

That's odd considering all the enemy AI ever does is run full speed across the map (and seem to cheat with extra speed and never getting fatigued). Unless they completely turtle on defence, which is rare in my experience.

When you start a battle on defense or if you have more ranged firepower than the AI it will move toward you. They will march until they get into artillery or archer range then start running because they will start to take damage. This is pretty consistent across all battles. The AI will never run unless it has to.

Edit: The AI does get fatigued and they don't get any sort of extra speed either.
