Really, care to cite your wondrous information?
Since many mods on the workshop, clearly state, that they are being updated, would you be one of the brainless masses who comment on mod pages saying to update, and blithely ignoring any form of common sense by actually reading the cunningly disguised words on many mod pages basically saying about being updated?
It takes time to update mods and not every mod creator is a no lifer.

"get off your own ego captain" i get that part are you saying that you were in the wrong? well 1st step is to admit it
They auto deactivate mods when the game patches. Likely since many mods tend to not work properly on a new patch. I can see the argument for letting the players make that decision, but on the other hand i can see a lot of people complaining that "it doesn't work" and not considering that they have mods on.
That said, it could be solved with a "A new version of the game has just been released, we recommend that all mods are disabled until updated, would you like to disable them now? Yes/No".
