Also some units are better at spotting than normal, like lizardmen having predatory senses.
If a unit is in a forest and far away enoug hfrom any enemy it will be hidden from them.
if a unit that was visible go into a place where it can hide like forest and is far away enough from all enemies it will turn hidden.
Also if a unit cuts all line of sights with enemies (like moving behind a hill, as being in a forest is not cutitng line of sight by itself) it will become immediately hidden until one enemy has them in line of sight again.
they cant still see them, but they'll know where they are since they'll have seen them disengage and go hide into the forest so they could make a good guess
