Differences upon differences.
Star dragons are old.
I want my new lords to be on pair with generic ones, not weaker in every way.
Star dragon is the strongest dragon in the game and I like my high elf lords to ride it.
I understand that it's cool to give players choices and all but if there is 3 different dragons then having different characters limited to one type rather than giving to all characters access to the highest level mount is way better.
Sun dragon for fire mages gives us dragon mages, moon dragon for archmage, and keep star dragon for prince and princesses.
And you'd likeeveryone to run around with star dragons and I suppose feral dragons in your army too?
What is it, is there some kind of silly star dragon bargain sale going on in caledor? Like, buy a horse get 10 star dragons for free or something?
You realize that technically pretty much only Imrik should be on a star dragon right?
They're already giving a huge consession to the lore by allowing all princes and princesses to run around with a star dragon.
I'd say that if you want even more so that everyone and their mother goes shopping on the back of a star dragon in ulthuan like in the age of Dragontamer himself, it shouldn't be hard to mod it.
And, if no star dragon mount - I will never recruit and use my paid archmage lord option.
Which is too sad, because they look excellent. But only the strongest units can make it in top armies. And some players run only the top armies in the late game.
why, they are casters, aslong as they are in the air it doesn't matter what they fly on
in the age of Dragontamer yes sure.
That was more than 6,000 years ago.
For optimal build, the strongest possible - only the best units will make it in.
And we already will get basic dragon riding mage, so same power level for lord is a shame.
