Disable Empire rework crap
Is there any way to disable the imperial authority crap for the empire factions. I miss the old way of playing empire.

I did once i conquered the entire empire by killing all the empire factions and being left with the debuff with no way to get rid of it and having all that prestige with nothing to do with it. Broken feature.

Things break when you break it.

I have it on good authority that TWW is the Best Game In The World, in the Best Of All Possible Worlds.

The Imperial Authority feature is there to prevent rapid confederation/conquering of the Empire. I think it works great, if you get the request to confederate just postpone it. That gives you 1 IA, just keep your head above water and pay attention to what adds/removes points and the Empire becomes really easy to handle.

If you get it to -10 everyone declares war on you but you don't have any debuff any more at - 10 so once you are strong enough just say screw it and kill them all.

That is not true. The IA was implemented to create the feeling of having several semi-independent states that you had to unify rather than conquer outright. If you dont care about the penalties, you can conquer about as fast as before, although it is more risky.

It is not that the mechanic is hard to use, it is just quite boring after a few times, since it relies on RNG to get decent progress. Empire is the slowest faction to confederate by far.

It could really use some tweaks in how it works, but the chances of that happening is pretty much 0.

Chances are low but not 0. They've said they would like to add toddy which could include some tweaks to the system.
