But if you simply must, either Unholy Lodestone or Brothers Ghorst Cart for Helman Ghorst.
Basic one regenerates ONLY itself.
Balefire has some kind of interaction with enemy casters.
U.Lodestone gives Mass Regen.
All give bonuses to MA / MD(iirc).
Though if you get a necromancer with an unholy lodestone corpsecart mount in your army it kinda makes recruiting just the unit pointless. That's easier to do as Kemmler though with his cheap necromancer upkeep.
Why settle for Lodestone when you can have MUCH more useful Mortis?
But you *should* take a Necromancer on a Corpse Cart w/Unholy Lodestone, for his Arcane Conduit, +15 WoM, Master of the Dead AoE buff, and back pocket Wind of Death, on top of the bonuses CCw/UL gives. If you want a Mortis Engine on top of that, you can have one, too.
Totally agree, Necromancers over most of the units you get in "The Grim and the Grave" for the benefits they offer, to this day I still hate that I paid for that DLC!
But as others have said, lodestone.
FYI - for discovering mechanics on some models, when you are in the skills section, do this.
1. look at the left hand card on the skills screen, the card with attack/ melee defense etc.
2. Hover over a skill, sometimes it obviously amends the stat, sometimes it just shows a new symbol in the icon section of the skill card.
So, do that before adding the skill, so you can see the new icons appear, then add the skill and hover over the new icons to see what they actually do.
Bit of a faff, but this does then actually show you what the skill in the skill pages do to your hero/lord.
