Black Screen after launcher, then crash

Hey everybody! I've been trying to get this game to work again for about a week. I reinstalled because I wanted to play some greenskins, but after launching the game through the launcher all I get is a silent black screen and a crash. I have verified the game files, updated my computer, updated my drivers, and have ran it as administrator. None of these have worked. Please help!

Could be a mod but if its not you might have to do this instead. C:\Users\your pc name\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly. Should be a file called Warhammer2 in there, delete that file and re open your game. If that doesn't work try verifying your game after doing all of that. That's what I had to do in order to fix my game anyway.

Yes, I've deleted both the Warhammer 2 folder and the Launcher folder multiple times. Now it's in a state where it doesn't even launch the game anymore, because the Warhammer 2 folder isn't coming back.

The Launcher folder reliably comes back, but since I was frustrated and didn't realize that the game would stop launching because of ??? I cleared my recycle bin. I went into the mods used file in the directory and cleared that out, I've disabled the More Blood DLC, and have taken the recommended compatibility settings.

I have no idea then. I had the same problem your having and that was how I fixed it I found that answer from a 2 year old thread and it was the only thing that worked for me. Perhaps the answer can be found an older cant launch game thread like mine was.

I mean't to get your folder back since it seemed like you said the Warhammer2 folder from /The Creative Assembly/ isn't reappearing after deleting it a number of times(or did that happen before you last verified?).
As for the black screen i'm not much sure tbh, anytime I had a black screen crash that only happened when launching the campaign and only after the release of a DLC, which the only fix I could work was uninstalling the game and deleting both C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly and C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER II folders, but this should be a last resort because it involves reinstalling the game.
And on the off chance, could your anti-virus software be interfering?

Use the "warhammerii 1.7.2" launcher. That fixed it for me.
