Mods for WH2 are via the Steam Workshop and are all .pack files. While the new launcher has complicated things it should still be possible to get mods on Mac...

Not sure where you're getting .exe files from.
If worst comes to worse, you can create your own mods: check out this Discord server[discordapp.com] which more or less functions as the main WH2 modding hub: some useful resources for newb modding there.
Official TW forums are a thing, maybe Steam Support might be able to help (probably not though)... this is a good call.
Nah, all fine: if you post under the Modding subforum it really does just get buried and ignored :/
So you're saying try downloading the windows versions of mods from the workshop? I couldn't find any good ones in general.
The exe mods I was trying all the common trainers and stuff you get from just googling warhammer 2 mods.
I wouldn't even know where to start as far as making my own mods for mac haha.
"Hes got nice hair though"
Super helpful comment... good on you. Troll. *eye roll*
No they don't I'm just saying I went through the workshop and couldn't find any good mods in general, like a gold mod for a vortex campaign, unit mod, army movement mod, all the good ones. Maybe I missed something though so I can check it again. If you know of any can you link them to me? Especially if they work for mac hah but I doubt many will hah.
But still, goes back to my original problem of I'm not getting exe files to work on my mac. Anyone have any tips for that?
I saw a video a guy made using wine/wine bottler and did just what he did but it didn't work for me. I tried the Wemod trainer (didn't work and the exe was 100gb literally..,) I tried the MrAntiFun trainer that looked good the Total War Warhammer 2 V1.5.0 Build 8774 Trainer +16, I couldn't get any of them to work on my mac.
I might just use bloody bootcamp and install windows on my mac and buy the windows version. Make things a lot easier haha.
Again, thanks for any help it's much appreciated.

You don't need to buy again.

What do you mean you can't find unit mods? There are hundreds in the workshop.
Also (never used mods before) Lets say I somehow get these to work on my mac. So I know I have to subscribe to the mod, but not sure what to do after? Do I have to download them, the files to my computer (if so where do I do that?)
The mods will pop up in my game under the mods? Then how do I use them? How do I know they are working? Does each one come with like a UI or are some just passive that once you turn on (like unlimited income, tax growth 100% or unit cost 50% lower or 1 turn for recruitment?
Thanks again guys. Sorry for all the noob questions.
When you press subscribe Steam automatically downloads the mod file (and updates it when the author does).
After that games usually have a launcher or a section in the main menu to activate the mods, in this case it's the launcher.
In the launcher you check which mods you want to use and launch the game. If no problems with the mods then they should be active and depending on the mod it'll be active in current campaigns or only new ones. These ones should be able to affect current campaigns so it should be easy to notice if you have more growth, faster building, etc.
Also, so I just saw the mods in the mod manager and turned them on. But if they aren't for mac how will I know? And If they aren't, how do I get the exe files of the actual mods to run wine/wine bottler and get them working on mac (hoping it'll work since they are direct steam mods)
Like I said, you should be able to see their effects very easily. Also if it says "modded" in the game version in the main menu.
Also, in each mod page you can see when it was last updated. As a general rule, prefer mods that have been updated after a major patch (in this case after November 8th).
Awesome man thanks for the tip! I'll be on the lookout for that.
thanks!
