No. It isn’t allowed due to some agreements with GamesWorkshop

There's always the one for Medieval 2.

No, nothing that amazing could possibly exist.

Looks like I will live out my days without a LOTR Grand strategy game. Seems impossible, but that's where we are.

Never say never... who knows. Might be their new fantasy project...

Modding is being destroyed more and more over the years, games don't like modding as much as they use to. It cuts into DLC sales and sequels, in their eyes.

They made one for attila. It's still not ready though, only playable in custom battles.

Modding isn’t under any real threat. Many devs actively support it, the ones who don’t still get modders, and the devs who actively discourage modders get trolled AND modded anyway

Yeah, take bannerlord for example. They are taking long with the game, and one of the reasons is they want the mod support to be impeccable.

Most devs these days rely on modding to fix their minor bugs and balance the game for them. It isnt going anywhere, but like was said, CA is obligated to remove mod support for their Warhammer games if someone starts making a mod that GW doesnt like.

I imagine that it's because GW either wants to avoid possible lawsuits from the Tolkien estate or to avoid having people make comparisons between their fantasy world and Tolkien's.

Lord of the rings: Battle for middle earth.

Doesn't GW have the rights to the tabletop Middle-Earth game?
