Few tip for the start of the empire campaign pls
I have been playing a bit of the empire campaign on total war warhammer 1 for a moment and didnt play for a whole year.

But Yesterday I bought TWW 2 and decide to do the mega campaign with the Empire but got stuck at the beginning.

At first I now start with 2 longgreatsword ? And simple garnison now have knigth ? So I manage to play easly the first 3 turn conquer 1 colony. But when I attack the second the IA already create a whole new army of 16 units + 10 units of garnison against my 12 units.

I lost , retreat recruit more guy but try again but they already have a new army of 10 units. I avoid the colony they attack me on the field I won But half of my army is destroy and in two turns I'm sure they will have recover and therye city are too well guard. And finally at turn 11 Ork start raiding me....

Can someone please give me a guide of the 10 first turn so I can avoid getting stuck at this rebel fortress pls.

ive been playing empire on hard pretty much all the time, so if youre playing on that difficulty maybe it helps you what i do, the first turn i move to the edge of altdorf territory and recruit 3 swordmen units, then on the next one i attack the city with its garrison and defending army, then upon conquering i recruit another 3, next turn i move to the edge and recruit another three, and here you can either wait another turn if the ai is garrisoning on the city near the mountain pass and recruit 3 guys with the sword and guns, and after go take it, then lastly the city near marienburg territory should be easy for grabs.

from then on, should be up to you what to do from there, but i usually turtle up to form my main army and then i start expanding.
On the first time, you should make treaties with every other Empire province, and also try asking them for money. You can get most of them to give anywhere from 300 to +1000 gold on the first turn, so be sure to check them all out and see what they will give you. Often you can have multiple Military or Defensive treaties right out of the gate. Throughout the game, I strongly recommend checking on your diplomatic status often, to see if you can get new treaties or free money.

On the first turn, have Franz kill the secessionist army with your starting troops, and if possible go ahead and capture Grunburg too. You also want to recruit a 2nd Lord at Altdorf, and have them start recruiting Swordsmen.

If you make like 6 more Swordsmen regiments, that will be enough to easily finish off the scessionists, so on the 2nd turn have Franz march back to Altdorf to pick up the new Swordsmen and recruit 3 more. Have your new Lord march through Middenheim, and get close enough to Eilhart that that Lord can attack it on the next turn.

On the 3rd turn, have that lone Lord encircle the town, and have Franz and the troops force-march through Middenheim to get there. You can go ahead and take the town that turn, or you can just encircle it and wait for the secessionist stack to come from Helmgart and attack you, if you don't want to fight them in a siege.

I recommend upgrading your rally field and getting some more Crossbowmen before doing the Bloodpine Woods quest.

I misread that about the mod.

Manually fight your early battles and make sure your elite units come out alive. That will be a HUGE benefit. (Reiksguard knights and handgunners) They can help you win a lot of battles early, but you can't let auto resolve just kill them.

Unless youre playing on easy or normal you shouldnt get a second lord until you conquered reikland at earliest, and i wouldnt recommend paying to upgrade rally field either. Turn 1 crush enemy army, recruit 3 swords, start upgrading altdorf to tier 2

Turn 2 take grunburg, just occupy. 2nd round of swords.

Turn 3 walk toward helmgart, a round of fcm

Turn 4 take helmgart, get more fcm, destroy field in altdorf. Build econ in altdorf.

Turn 5 take eilhart, complete 20 stack.

Level up your small towns to tier 2 as you go along. Grunburg then helmgart to get a tier 2 rallly field and tech.

Make sure to maximize trade and naps early on for money

From there its up to you, i usually killskullsmasherz and take marienburg before storming through brettonia, personally, but theres other options.

Id also recommend gelt as best starting lord by far, helps a huge amount once youre doing sieges, especially early on vs marienburg

I agree with most of what you said, but I would recommend getting the rally field upgraded in Altdorf. It's nice being able to recruit Crossbowmen earlier, since if you wait for Helmgart to hit level 2 you'd be a few turns later than if you just upgraded it in Altdorf. Not only that but it'll let you get your Technology upgrades started early. That's just me though, I love using a ton of missile infantry, especially when it comes to taking Marienburg.

I don't like having the rally field taking up a slot in altdorf, and crossbowmen are imo fairly un-necessary early on. Free company militia basically does everything they do but can also reliably monkey stomp enemy shooting in CQC and defend itself, plus in sieges they can be used to fight atop the walls alongside your infantry and shoot down into troops on the ground. They'll crush units like xbows or basically any brettonian infantry and trade well with most empire infantry, especially when you consider gelts buffs.

The fact that I play gelt probably also skews this, since gelt+greatswords+mortars is a stupid good early game siege comp and i can wear enemies down with just searing doom and mortar fire.
