How do i transfer save files from cloud?
I have a saved game on my wife's laptop and I want to transfer it to my desktop. The save file shows the cloud icon for the game save and all of the settings are properly set up

Solved it for myself. Don't know if this will help anyone else experiencing issues but I couldn't figure out why my saves weren't available on a different PC. Cloud saves were enabled through steam, and specifically for TW WH2, but those saves still weren't available on my other PC.. What solved my problem was that I hadn't enabled cloud saves in the actual game. Open TW WH2, load your latest save game or whichever save you want uploaded to the cloud, when the save has loaded open the menu, go to the save game menu and tick the Save to Cloud box. Save your game and a little image of a cloud will appear next to the file. You can now load the save game from a different computer. Hope that helps.

Have you checked the local location too? I think they're still saved locally even with cloud.

That doesnt do anything for me when im trying to get it on another computer. I dont care if its saved locally, the issue is I cant download it on another computer as is the entire purpose of the cloud is being able to grab it from different devices.

Not using cloud saves myself, so this may be not exactly helpful - however, can't you just load the save from cloud on your own pc and thereafter save it locally?

That is the problem, idk how and I cant seem to find out how. This is exactly what I am trying to do. Save the cloud file locally on my desktop. The actual save is on my laptop. You just explained exactly what cloud saving is.

So the save isn't showing up for loading in game in your desktop?

Yep, on the laptop it shows the save is cloud saved, but it does not show up on my desktop.

I'm not sure if Steam needs some sort of additional right in the settings to enable Cloud Saves actually transmitting to new devices since a few months. I've not used the function for WH2 myself yet or any Cloud Saves in a long time, really.

Maybe if you have Gaben touch your hohos.

Click View, Settings, Cloud and tick the enable cloud saves for applications that enable it. This should allow you to use the save on the other device. Also when you save to the cloud you need to make sure that you right click the steam icon in your taskbar at bottom right and exit it that way so it will sync your save to the cloud otherwise if you just shut your laptop down it won't sync. I switch to my laptop every night for bed so use this all the time.

Actually, it should just upload the save to the cloud right after you closed the game.

Yeah it does but sometimes it takes a while and I have shut down my PC before it has synced so now I exit steam through the taskbar because that tells me when it has finished syncing.
