The province bonus should be selectable from the small blue box near the bottom left of the screen (when you have your province selected).
Most of the factions are empire builders, the exceptions are Chaos and Beastmen, who are Horde factions, and then theres Woodelves and Norsca who have limited building options outside of their initial areas.
Vampire Pirates, and to a lesser extent Dark Elves, are interesting as they are builders but also have the mobile advantages of a Horde.
What do you mean Norsca have a limited building options outside of their initial areas? What happens when they go out of the areas? Just wondering I am going to start a new game and if I should change it to something else.
As mentioned horde like chaos and beastmen are out. Wood elves and norsca are restricted. I like lizardmen as a building faction. Their buildings are simple and the faction benefits from having more buildings and more settlements.
Norsca have full building options in settlements in the Northern frozen part of the map, but if they conquer somewhere outside of that region you only get the option of building an outpost which only suplies a tiny bonus (though they do mount up if you can keep a lot of them).
What you are encouraged to do as Norsca is to settle the other major factions captials (like Altdorf or Lothern) as you CAN build properly here as well as unlocking your final level of techs for research.
Am I doing something wrong, or maybe a mod conflict? I am thinking of starting over again with no mods. Just want to make sure before restarting with no mods just in case I am doing something wrong and not understanding how the game works yet.
Norsca is very much not an empire building faction. They simply don’t have the building to do it with. As stated, lizardmen are good for that, Dwarfs can be to a lesser extent. Basically any faction not listed in the couple posts above can do it quite well. Norsca are fun, but there hits a point where you’ll have a negative income and rely on raiding and sacking towns to sustain yourself, using the buffs the towns in the north offer.
How many types of marauder is it? just the one? or 3/6/8? what province are you in or near, what stance is your army in? What buildings have you build in that settlement?
Sorry I don't understand what 3/6/8 is Red Shift. I have the original province (forgot the name). I should say I HAD the province one town just got taken away from me. Going to start a new game and see what happens.
I can recruit the guys with shields, axes, javalins. I dont have stable yet so no chariots in my current game.
To get the ice trolls you would need both the Offering building AND the Ice Troll lair present in the same province, though they can be in separate settlements.
Also I am rude. I have forgotten to thank everyone for trying to help me out. Greatly appreciate it.
Normally marauders come from sparring fields while trolls come troll lairs.
