Armies outside city not getting supported by thr city.
So I had one Lord parked in my city. And one Lord parked just outside the city, he is basicly sitting on top of the city.

My enemies armies rides up to the city and attacks my lord that is outside, and he has to fight the battle alone. Why is he not supported by the lord inside the city?

My enemies did NOT have lightningstrike.

Im pretty sure outside armies used to be helped by lords in cities no? Did they change it?

Assuming you mean two enemy armies with your "enemies armies" then I suppose they're sieging the city before attacking your outside army.

They had 3 lords, they did not siege, they just attacked my outside-lord.

Im way past that turn, I dont even remember wich turn it was, not even sure I could take a sceen shot if i tried :P .

I know they didnt siege me the turn before. Is it possible that they ran up and sieged my city with one lord, without the game showing me that they did sieged me, and then used a different lord to attack my lord that was outside, all in the same turn?

Ye..... that's what I was saying. It's hard to see but if you're paying attention (and having camera movements for that faction showing) you'd see that.

Hmm that mechanic makes zero sense to me. If I parken an army right outside my city walls, and had one army inside the walls, they would join up no matter if the enemy attacked the army outside or if they attacked the walls...

But sure its a game.. it doesnt have to make sense. :P

Did any of the enemies armies siege you ? If they do your garrison is blocked and will not help you, one lord alone is enough to block your garrison inside.

If it was lightning strike it'd still be 1v1.

It's pretty much a guarantee that it's the one army being sieged thing.

Use ambush stance on the army outside, usually works as defense for this.

Yep, I personally think it's a pretty silly mechanic. A single lord can be used to block the lord in a city + the garrison from supporting an army directly outside the city. No option to sortie out of the city, nothing. Just "**** you".

You can use it to your advantage as well, though. Bring an extra lord to siege the city then bully the supporting armies left outside.
