I get the idea they were trying to make that dwarfs build up slow and steady but the rest of the world is not gonna wait while you build up your nation.....so let me do something everything fun needs like what tier 5 and it takes forever to get there
If they own a part of a province and you own the other, if their LL sits in their settlements in that province, you'll never be able to avoid vampiric corruption to go way past the 50% bar and you'll get attrition on top of everything else.
Their osmosis capacity is also pretty damn infuriating.
Compared to them in vortex at least, any other faction's corruption is childplay to counter.
All the alliances they form and their snowballing power and economy in Lothern, combined with the fact that AI's will just beeline for player factions they're at war with over any other threat.
It feels like the late game of any "chaotic" faction inevitably devolves into fighting wave after wave of swordmasters and handmaidens sailing arcoss the world to screw with you.
Kinda true I guess, though they tend to have some of the most annoying to fight rosters if you don’t have tons of armor piercing. The things I’ve don’t with just their garrisons...
This is the dwarven lord that endlessly senselessly and without any obvious reason walk to and fro across the vampiric Sylvanian lands just to get to the other end of his province.
I think he has forgot how to dwarf or something.
Oh and wood elves. Christ I have difficulty against wood elves. Bulky monstrous infantry and amazing ranged units is a nasty combo
I only manage to beat Skarsnik with overwhelming forces with Empire. It wasnt like this before. Having said that, i think before the Festag update Skarsnik wont survive beyond turn 15.
My headcannon is that it's like a rite of passage for his troops. Survive 50 turns doing that walk and forth or something, Idk. He's dumb.
Personally I find the tomb kings the most annoying faction. Since they don't spend gold at all to recruit or maintain their armies, you can knock down 5 armies in one battle and you won't even get a couple turns of respite before they're back at it with more armies.
However, I do like the challenge.
