Steel faith Overall 2 public order buildings
Playing a SFO 2 campaign as Umgrim and loving the new units it adds, but one weird thing im noticing is that my public order buildings are barely working. I should be getting 8 from my feasting hall and 2 from my Gate but on the details for the region im only getting 5.

Does SFO mess with the public order? I know on low order you can't recruit as much but I don't remember reading anything like this.

Haven't played SFO much (like an hour), but I remember a lot of the buildings, especially industry, giving minus public order.

SFO increases the public order decrease of taxes being enabled by an additional 2. And Dwarves also start with an additional -2 because you start in a bracket of the great book of Grudges that does so. Though once you clear some grudges that -2 will go away very quickly. But it takes a few turns to get to that. Also every race except High Elves and Norsca starts with some amount of Skaven corruption in their starting area that can be cleared around turn 10. This is done to compensate the fact that Dwarves have easy access to global public order in their research tree and their commandments. Their PO buildings provide and exceedingly large amount once upgraded. One of the industry buildings also reduces public order. While the other increases Skaven corruption.

That depends on the race. But only really one or two buildings give you negative public order is the per-race standard.

Ok thanks guys, I just checked and yeah Toolmakers now give -3 public order, pretty annoying especially while beastmen are just hanging out in their hidden encampments.

Theres an upside to this. I farmed my heros XP up easily, but constantly putting down rioting armies. WIN.

Couldn't you have done that anyway with raiding your own provice?

Raiding your own province gives minus income though, and means your army has to stay there the whole time. Which means you can go sack a city, then go back and squash a rebellion.

Plus from what I remember last time I played steel faith, it seemed like a lot of buildings gave extra units to the garrisons, so you can get the money from rebellions without an army since your garrisons can just kill rebellions.
