Try to fight against 19 Waystalkers without massive casualties
I put this down to the autoresolve being turned so strongly in their favour now. They think they can win because that's what AR tells them, but you beat them every time if you fight manually.
2) Chaos. Love to fight giant piles of almost unbreakable heavy infantry. In battle it's actually not so bad but the autoresolve favors them so heavily that I have to manually fight what should've been a cakewalk.
3) Early game Lizardmen. It's just a long slog to actually kill them.
Could be..i run a mod that improves the autoresolve results myself. (And recently tons of other mods, hehe, tried out both Boyz will be Boyz overhaul which i really liked, as well as the steel faith overhaul which was okay'ish so far)
Wood elves as some mention i must admit i haven't fought much against, since they're usually pretty quiet in their forest, and even if i'm at war with them as the undead or greenskins they very rarely venture out.
Chaos i usually find easy if i've either god really good heavy infantry myself, and\oror tons and tons of AP ranged. If not, the lube must be prepared :P
As for Lizardmen i find their "core" saurus are just lean mean killing machines. I'm quite sure i could finish a game just with them :P
2 Lizardmen, unless you go to beat them up with a dedicated army, 3-4 temple guard + 7-10 single entity monsters will destroy any of your less elite 20 stacks. Basically you either bring 19x Star Dragon or a good mix of AP AL infantry. Artillery isn’t enough normally.
3 Dark Elves, they are really good at skirmishing and overall the AI plays them a bit like the WE. Their ranged options are weaker but their lords (particularly if they reach high level) are stronger and their cav hits harder too. Also decent monsters and infantry mix or debuffs/AP/high charge bonus will take a toll on even the most elite units.
All in all I’ll say that the only faction I openly dislike is WE also due to the fact that most forest maps are super unbalanced for any non-WE army. The other 2 are a challenge but I don’t mind facing them.
Cause their armies are all just armor piercing skirmishers, the strength of your army feels like it doesn't matter nearly as much, its just about having enough units to soak their fire, or just beating them with more ranged than they have.
The beastmen because they seem to be endless and just run away so you have to chase them across half the damn map.
