Sacking Cities - Respawns FULL Army
So, after sacking the Awakening with the dreadfleet in vampire coast turn (i sieged them and they attacked me, easy win) i sacked the sattlement for 17k gold. All worked fine but when i wanted to attack the awakening again they had a full garrison army, but mine was still in shambles from the last battle.

HOW THE ♥♥♥♥ TO THEY DO THIS ♥♥♥♥ CA? is there any logical explenation for this, is it just CA ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up games again? :P

Was it owned by Harkon? The vampirates get crazy bonuses to replenishment if this also applies to the garrison combined with the rite and AI bonuses it might explain it. Most likely a bug though

It was owned by Harkon yes, but i can remember this happening for at least 10 times even in the warhammer total war 1 era... it's just so annoying

I've never had a full army against me, or I dont remember. But sure they get insane replenishment always compared to the player on garrisons. Which is mighty annoying combined with the bad autoresolve so even when you dont loose a lot of troops the first time around you still have to fight the garrison that should be almost gone still, just so autoresolve wont bite your head off.

so, after sacking, there where 3 damaged buildings, but now as i siege it again not even one turn later (normally takes a full turn to repair stuff) only the port is damaged... like is there no way to write a good ai without giving it these obvious cheats?

i'm just gonna ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ leave vanilla alone and only start when sfo is out again...

Is there a mod which fixes the garrisons insane replenishment after battle? It's not only one faction that acts like that, though I remember seeing couple which did have damaged units.

Was it really a garrison or they also had an army standing there, with a general and all? Because the general could easily raise the dead and if you were not paying much attention it would look like a garrison... dunno.

It was def only the garrison, as all there other armies where on the other side of his empire, thats why i attacked

Well they attacked on their turn, you destroyed the buildings, they issued the repairs which are triggered when your turn comes I think.

The high regen is to prevent cheesing. There is no other reason to attack a town/city twice, especially with the loot & occupy feature, so they are making it more difficult to farm XP/gold.
