omg bloated corpses ftw
dude those things are op af when used well. having two flank around the side after the melee lines clash just ends everything right away. well, provided the enemy didnt bring disposable flanking units. seems like they soak up ranged dmg pretty well until they can reach their destination

We need to do some leader boards on who can get the most kills with just one bloated corpse.

I sent Harkon out too far and he got blobbed and couldnt get him out. Sent in 2 bloated corpse and the blob was dead, almost 430 kills between the 2 of them.

They can be used well in like ambushes in the forest in multiplayer, where the opponent just runs into them before they have time to react with their flanking units. If that ends up being an effective strategy though, it will often be effective to just mind game your opponent into thinking you have a hidden bloated corpse so they don't flank you through forests, and you won't even need to have the bloated corpse.

I'va had some bloated corpse on corpse avtion and the bloated corpse always wins even as he loses. Strangely enough they don't count killing each other.

I always felt like staying away from forests is a given to avoid the terrain debuff, unless you're WE or BM.

but it's one time used, you had to keep buying, not sure it's worth of money in short term and long term. It's one time used, one time hit in battle and after that, that's it. Seem it's to weaken enemie's number (may or may not destory units.) but same time weak yourself as well lost one units in army.

To me the best thing about bloated corpses is the siege attacker attribute. Saves you a lot of turns early in the campaign when you have quick access to something with siege attacker.

Do they take out walls or just gates? I've spent the whole map fighting at sea (w/count noctilus), now stuck with dealing with packs of elite elvish 20 stacks since turn 60, haven't even bothered sieging walled settlements yet.

Yeah they can take down gates but you need more units to do that and you need to protect them against range unit. I did it once w/ Bloated Corpse. One died due I didn't protected it against high elves range units. There quite fragile.

2nd one succeeded dealing 30 damage at the gate and killing 70 ultra setting HE spear units that are on top on the gate.

Yup bloaties also damage units on top of the gate. Which is why I always send one for that reason. The other bloater is for whatever defensive line the hold behind the gate.
