"The shadow and the blade" in itself is in almost no way effected by "The prophet and the warlock" (Other then not being able to use the units from the previous DLC, something the new clan Eshin won't really get any sort of boost for)...
Or am i missing something?
ratling guns are still one of the best campaign units and worth getting though
Yea, but as mentioned, they don't really have anything to do with the DLC and clan Eshin does not get any boosts for them.
If the units themselves are the issue its not really a "worth taking the DLC" question but rather a "worth playing Skaven, period" question, is it not?
Anyway, OP: The prophet and the warlock does not directly influence the new DLC (not anymore then it would influence any Skaven campaign), however the units and mechanics added in the prophet and the warlock are some of the most fun for Skaven so i would highly recommend said DLC regardless.
That's like saying it's not worth it to play skaven if you're not ikit because you'll be missing the upgrades.
