Can't launch game with mods anymore
So I reinstalled TWW2 after a break for a few months. I played this game for almost 300 hours, always with mods and rarely had any issues.

Now I can't even launch the game with a single mod (for example T4 minor settlement mod). I get the TWW2 loading screen but after 15 seconds or something the game just shuts down. The only different thing between I last played the game and now is that I had to install windows 10.

I unsubscribed and resubscribed to my mods and it didn't solve anything. I verified the game cache and it did nothing. I restarted my pc and it did nothing....

I can launch the game without issue without mods but I find the game more enjoyable with mods. Is there anything that I haven't tried yet that could fix the issue? Cheers

Are you loading an old save or going into the main menu?

I ended up having that issue and had to go into the following folder, delete it; then verify game cache afterwards:

PC > [Game's Install] Drive > Users > [Insert User Name] > AppData > Roaming > The Creative Assembly > Warhammer2.

Go into that ^ folder, and then delete all its folders.

These folder are your game's settings and files for mods and preferences. Clearing that out is effectively your game's cache, which can rack up enough discrepancies that it becomes unstable and crashes as a result.

Awesome thanks for the advice, I'll try it out once I get home tonight 👍

Sounds like a mod that isnt updated and hence causes the crash. Check your mods to see if they are updated

I'd say disable all mods, and then put them on again, but one at a time, to see if the same thing happens or not, process of elimination. :steamhappy:

Tried that, switched between mods trying one at each time and it always crashed. They are all up to date according to the mod manager

Just tried it. Opened the mod manager and saw that the mods were disabled (which was to be expected). I reactivated one of them and tried to launch but still not getting past the first screen :s

So, the issue is also with vanilla?

And make sure the mods are actually loaded in

What do you mean with vanilla? Without mods I can load the game with 0 issue. It's only when I activate my mods in the mod manager that I don't get past the initial loading screen.

I found another article saying I should launch the game in a beta version (which I just did and it worked) and then go back to the original version, which I'm trying now...

Or should I be using Kaedrin's mod manager or something?
